About Us

The seven California offices of the Arthritis Foundation are working to improve the lives of more than 5 million people across our state who struggle every day with this serious health epidemic. To help reduce the unacceptable pain, disability and other burdens of arthritis and related diseases, we offer information, events, research grants, advocacy activities and other vital programs and services.

Arthritis Foundation, Pacific Region

The Arthritis Foundation, Pacific Region, serves almost 6.7 million adults and nearly 48,000 children with arthritis and related diseases in Greater California, Arizona, Hawaii and Nevada.

We are committed to raising awareness and reducing the impact of arthritis, a serious, painful and unacceptable disease that robs people of living life to its fullest. In support of our mission, we offer education, research grants, advocacy and other vital programs and services to improve the lives of those with arthritis and related diseases.

The Arthritis Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organization that supports the more than 100 types of arthritis and related conditions. Founded in 1948, with headquarters in Atlanta, the Arthritis Foundation has multiple service points located throughout the country. The Arthritis Foundation is the largest private, not-for-profit contributor to arthritis research in the world, funding more than $380 million in research grants since 1948. The foundation helps people take control of arthritis by providing public health education; pursuing public policy and legislation; and conducting evidence-based programs to improve the quality of life for those living with arthritis.
