Advocacy & Access
People with arthritis face unique barriers to care - - high costs of treatment, difficulty accessing medications, scarcity of specialists and insurance that limits access to treatment. But through the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide network of committed Advocates, we’re fighting to address key policy issues on both the state and federal levels with lawmakers, insurers, employers and regulators.

Become an Ambassador
Arthritis Ambassadors are volunteers committed to taking part in the democratic process and serve as liaisons between the Arthritis Foundation and their Congressional District’s Representative. Each Ambassador’s efforts are crucial to the success of the Arthritis Foundation.
Pain Policy Roundtable
For World Arthritis Awareness Day on October 12th, the Foundation will bring together experts in the field of pain medicine and management, as well as patients, to a Pain Policy Roundtable to discuss access issues related to resources and treatments with congressional staff and policy-makers.
