Shared journeys, shared stories.
There are nearly 60 million people in the U.S. – adults and children – who are living with arthritis. And while each of their journeys is unique, we also find common ground, common hope -- and common help. The Arthritis Foundation is here to help every person living with arthritis find the support and resources they need. Discover how we journey together.Kevin Gadd, Osteoarthritis
We {fight Arthur} together
When Kevin Gadd was young, his mom was diagnosed with RA. “We called it Arthur-itis,” he explains. “If she couldn’t do certain things, we would blame it on Arthur.” Today, Kevin has his own challenges with Arthur as he battles osteoarthritis. But because of his mom’s strength and his own challenges, Kevin devotes much of his time and talents to helping the Arthritis Foundation. Because he vows, “I won’t let Arthur beat me.”
Kevin's journeyKiana, Juvenile Arthritis
We {figure it out} together.
When Kiana was having unexplained knee pain at a young age, her parents struggled to find answers. But they found a community in the Arthritis Foundation. “Kiana feels more comfortable because she sees other kids like her,” says her father, Kyle. See how we helped this family on their journey to improving Kiana’s life.
Kiana's journeyTalisa King, arthritis advocate
We {stand strong} together.
Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at age 31, Talisa King turned her journey into a mission. “I decided to be the change I wanted to see,” she says. Despite ongoing challenges, she tirelessly advocates for the arthritis community, ensuring others have access to the support and resources they need.
Talisa's journeyRob, Ankylosing Spondylitis & Juvenile Arthritis parent
We {keep going} together.
A few years after Rob was diagnosed with arthritis, his young son was as well. This common bond of arthritis brought father and son closer and gave them hope. “This wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for the Arthritis Foundation,” Rob says. “We’re examples…you don’t have to give in. We’re not going to let this disease take us down.”

Carlos Camara, Osteoarthritis
We {make a comeback} together.
A lifelong athlete, Carlos faced the effects of osteoarthritis by age 25. After multiple knee surgeries, he was determined to stay active and found cycling, joining the Arthritis Foundation’s California Coast Classic Bike Tour in 2014. Now a dedicated rider, he raises funds and awareness – proving arthritis doesn’t limit adventure. As he puts it, “The Arthritis Foundation connects those in need with those who help.”
Carlos's journeyNearly 60 million people in the U.S. are living with arthritis, including hundreds of thousands of kids – and no one has to go it alone. The Arthritis Foundation provides support, advocacy and empowering resources for everyone living with arthritis to live their best lives. We’re strongest when we journey together.
