These snacks take the edge off between-meal hunger pangs with a tasty shot of omega-3 fatty acids from flaxseed. —MATTHEW KADEY

Ingredients

¾ cup rolled oats
1 cup dried apricots
¼ cup ground flaxseed
¼ cup tahini
3 Tbsp. honey
2 tsp. lemon zest
1 tsp. ginger powder
⅛ tsp. salt

Directions

Step One
Pulse until they are pulverized. Add remaining ingredients to container and blend until mixture sticks together when pressed between your fingers.
Step Two
Dampen your hands and form mixture into 1-inch sized balls. You should get about 14 balls. Keep chilled.

  • Omega-3 fatty acids can work to reduce inflammation, which may help reduce joint pain.
  • Oats and apricots add a boost of healthy fiber.
