Welcome to South Dakota
There are more than 50 million Americans with Arthritis - 160,000 of them live in South Dakota. The Arthritis Foundation is the Champion of Yes. We are focused on finding a cure and championing the fight against arthritis through vital information, advocacy, science and community. Our goal is to chart a winning course, guiding families in developing personalized plans for saying yes – day after day.
A day-long mini-camp for children ages 4-7 and their parent. Our mission is to provide a secure environment for children with arthritis to meet other kids and share opportunities to learn, engage in social activities and build mutual support and encouragement.
The Arthritis Foundation gives children with arthritis the opportunity to make lifetime memories through camp. The specialty, residential juvenile arthritis summer camps focus on what campers can do, not what they can’t do. Campers are able to learn from others who have similar conditions and experiences. The program is designed to increase campers’ self-esteem by creating opportunities for them to meet personal challenges.
The Arthritis Foundation’s National Juvenile Arthritis Conference focuses on health, wellness and fun for young people affected by juvenile arthritis, lupus, myositis, ankylosing spondylitis and other childhood rheumatic diseases. These events offer a chance to meet other families going through similar challenges. To share stories, learn about the latest treatments and discover strategies to make every day better. Meet top experts in pediatric rheumatology and related health care, scientific research, educational rights, psychology, access to care and more.
