Advocate for Arthritis
People with arthritis face unique barriers to care: high costs of treatment, difficulty accessing medications, scarcity of specialists and coinsurance that limits access to treatment. It’s hard for any individual to fight the battle alone. But through the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide network of committed Advocates and events such as our annual Advocacy Summit, we’re fighting to address key policy issues on both the state and federal levels with lawmakers, insurers, employers and regulators.
But we need your help. Join our army of more than 125,000 Advocates and Ambassadors and help us make positive changes on Capitol Hill. You could be the key to helping us make lasting change to improve the lives of those with arthritis!
About the Summit
Join Arthritis Foundation Advocates at the Advocacy Summit and become a Champion of Yes. Learn how to take action, advocate for people with arthritis, find your voice, network with Advocates and meet with your members of Congress and their staff. Children are welcome to attend the Kids' Summit, where they learn to advocate for themselves and meet other children living with and affected by arthritis.
Advocate on Social
Hundreds are gathered in Washington, DC to meet with Congress and ask them to take a stand in the fight against arthritis by supporting the three issues arthritis advocates indicated were most important.
But to get the attention of Congress, hundreds of voices aren’t enough. We need your help. Send each of the messages below to your legislators and echo our voice. We’ve already drafted a message for you, but be sure to edit it and share your personal arthritis story! It’s time for Congress to face arthritis.
