Overview
This chocolate treat gets a healthy twist with a variety of toasted nuts.

Ingredients

10 oz. 70% cocoa chocolate, shaved or cut
½ cup walnut pieces, toasted
½ cup pecan pieces, toasted
½ cup almond slices, toasted

Directions

Step One
Place chocolate in a bowl over a double boiler, heating on a low flame while stirring until chocolate is 85% melted. Remove from heat and stir until smooth.
Step Two
Mix in the toasted nuts.
Step Three
Spread mixture evenly on a parchment paper-lined sheet pan and chill in the refrigerator until set, about 30 minutes.
Step Four
Break into pieces and serve, or place in ziplock bags, label, date and store in your freezer for up to three months.
Chef’s Notes
  • To toast nuts, scatter on a baking sheet and place in a 300°F oven or toaster oven for about 5 to 10 minutes until lightly golden. Add other varieties of nuts, like pistachios, or unsweetened dried fruits or even flax seeds to create variations.
