The Internal Revenue Service requires the Arthritis Foundation and all charitable corporations that are exempt from income tax to submit Form 990's for each fiscal year. Exempt nonprofits are also required to make the forms available to the public. In accordance with these rules, the Foundation provides documents for its National Office for the past three years. National Office Tax Information
In addition to complying with the IRS, the Arthritis Foundation follows generally accepted accounting principles. In so doing, annual financial audits are held to assess spending for each fiscal year. National office and combined financial statements are presented for convenience and informational purposes only, and while reasonable efforts have been made to ensure the integrity of such information, they should not be relied on. A copy of the printed national office or combined financial statements will be provided on request. Audited reports for prior years are posted below.
