Gabrielle’s Story

Gabrielle and her family are mentors for other JA families. They actively raise awareness in the community and are true arthritis champions working to help all Arthritis Warriors.

The Ferraiolo family became a part of the Arthritis Foundation community soon after Gabrielle’s juvenile arthritis (JA) diagnosis in 2012. They created a Walk to Cure Arthritis team in 2013, and since that time,  have raised nearly $20,000 through their annual team fundraising effort. Gabrielle served as the Youth Honoree in 2015 and actively raised awareness in the community about the seriousness of juvenile arthritis.

Besides the Walk to Cure Arthritis, the family participated in one of the Arthritis Foundation’s marquee events, Magic of Caring, which gave Gabrielle the opportunity to walk the fashion runway. Gabrielle’s mom has worked relentlessly to secure silent auction items annually for the marquee events. Her grandparents even got involved by starting a car show to benefit the Arthritis Foundation. The event is run through the West Palm Beach Camaro Club and has grown every year.

Beyond fundraising, Gabrielle and her family have become mentors for other JA families and participate in the local JA Family Days and educational programs.  The Ferraiolo family is grateful to have received travel awards to allow them to attend JA Conferences and for Gabrielle to attend her first JA summer camp last year.

Gabrielle and her family are true arthritis champions who have dedicated the last seven years to advocating, educating and raising funds for all Arthritis Warriors.
