World Arthritis Day is October 12
One in Four. More Than You Think.
Thank you for partnering with us this World Arthritis Day to shine a spotlight on a chronic disease that affects 1 in 4 adults in the U.S.
That number may seem surprising, but chances are someone in your workplace, your customer base or your community is living with arthritis — maybe even you. Yet for many people, its impact remains invisible.
Here are a few facts many people don’t know:
- Nearly 60 million adults are living with diagnosed arthritis.
- Arthritis is the nation’s #1 cause of disability.
- 90% of people living with arthritis say it interferes with their daily lives.
- Two-thirds of adults with arthritis are younger than 65, managing symptoms while working, parenting and going about their everyday lives.
- Kids get arthritis, too. Close to 300,000 children in the U.S. are living with a form of juvenile arthritis.
This World Arthritis Day, join us in raising awareness while showing the millions of people living with arthritis that they are seen, supported and not alone.
