2020 Juvenile Arthritis Camps
JA Camp Update
JA Camp Program
COVID-19 Update (4/22/2020):
The Arthritis Foundations’ top priority is the health and safety of our families, volunteers and staff. After careful review of the growing seriousness, community spread and ongoing uncertainty of the coronavirus (COVID-19) as well as the strain on our important health care volunteers, the Arthritis Foundation has made following actions in regard to our camp programs:
- We have made the difficult decision to not host our in person JA Camps through the end of August.
- Camps scheduled in the fall are being monitored, with daily reviews of how we will move foward. For those camps, we are actively working with our medical and facility leadership teams from each camp location to enhance pre-camp procedures and screening protocols, as well as onsite policies, to ensure the safest possible environment at camp.
- We will continue to keep you updated as new information becomes available. For update information on Coronavirus and Arthritis, visit arthritis.org.
For camp programs that have been suspended in person, we have developed virtual camp opportunities for your camper. In a time where a child or teen may feel the most isolated, we want to create the feeling of connection more than ever! Our virtual JA camp activities are thoughtfully planned to mirror what a typical camp week would look like and will allow children and teen to interact with their peers.
Details about the 2021 JA Camp season coming soon!
