The Arthritis Foundation has unveiled a new name and logo for its signature fundraising walk event. Walk to Cure Arthritis, formerly Arthritis Walk, officially kicks off this month and will take place in approximately 100 cities through November. Walk to Cure Arthritis unites communities across the country to put an end to arthritis, a crippling disease that impacts more than 50 million adults and 300,000 children—or approximately 22 percent of the U.S. population. In addition, it is the leading cause of disability in the U.S. and the second most expensive condition billed to private insurance. Funds raised through Walk to Cure Arthritis support Arthritis Foundation programs, research and advocacy initiatives to help people today while finding a cure for tomorrow. This year's Walk to Cure Arthritis fundraising goal is $8.5 million. read more
