State Advocacy

Be an Advocate for Arthritis

Arthritis is a public health priority. Nationally, more than 52 million Americans and 300,000 children have the disease.  Arthritis statistics for your state can be found HERE.  People living with arthritis face unique barriers to care including high costs to treat the disease and access to affordable, specialized medications. Working with our network of over 132,000 advocates from across the country, we advocate for research to find a cure and we work to ensure that people with arthritis have easier access to coverage, better care and improved health.

Visit www.arthritis.org/advocacy/ for the tools you need to become informed about the issues and to make your voice heard. You will find issue "backgrounders," Arthritis Foundation position statements, as well as links to other Web sites that may be helpful.
