Grace was diagnosed with systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) right before her first birthday. Today, she gets an injection of Kineret every other day that allows her to say Yes to childhood.
Grace was diagnosed with systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) right before her first birthday. Today, she gets an injection of Kineret every other day, and it allows her to live mostly symptom free. As a second grader, Grace is very active. She loves soccer and skiing, is in Girl Scouts as a Brownie, participates on a Destination Imagination team and is learning to play the piano. She loves art and reading, and especially loves being with her two younger sisters.
Grace has been to mini-camp at Camp MASH (Make Arthritis Stop Hurting) for four years. She is looking forward to going for the full week this year.
