Carson's Story

As a baby, Carson would cry for no apparent reason. At 4 years old, activities that were deemed normal for other children his age, were sometimes impossible. Coloring a picture hurt his hands

Carson’s battle with arthritis began when he was 10 months old. Unfortunately, his is an all-too-familiar story. As a baby, Carson would cry for no apparent reason. At 4 years old, activities that were deemed normal for other children his age, were sometimes impossible. Coloring a picture hurt his hands.

Over the summer, while playing with friends, instead of enjoying his popsicle, Carson was concerned it was going to be used to numb his arm in preparation for his shots. You see, that became a ritual in the Rose household on Friday nights. For four years, shot night was the biggest reminder of this crippling disease.  This year, in an effort to raise funds to help the Arthritis Foundation find a cure, Carson will lead his Walk to Cure Arthritis team, Carson’s Crew, for the sixth year. He hopes to raise $15,000 to support the Foundations programs and research.
