Acetaminophen (children and infants)

Class: Analgesics

Used to reduce pain and fever

Dosage

Dosage depends on your child’s weight or age. Ask your doctor about the appropriate dosage for your child. Do not exceed maximum daily dosage.

Potential Side Effects

Acetaminophen is generally safe when taken as directed.

Be Aware

Do not use with any other products containing acetaminophen. Too much acetaminophen can cause serious liver damage or death. Drinking alcohol increases the risk of liver damage. Rarely, acetaminophen may cause serious skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome, which can be deadly. Stop acetaminophen and call your child's doctor if your child develops a skin rash.
