JA Family Education Day

JA Family Education Day is a fun-filled event for children and teens with rheumatic conditions, and their families!
Join us to learn about arthritis, network with other families who have similar concerns, and enjoy a day of fun activities. Kids and teens enjoy activities, games and education while parents participate in educational sessions facilitated by pediatric rheumatologists or other health professionals.
Keynote presentation focused on research by Erica Lawson, MD (USCF)
Four breakout sessions:
1. Nutrition and Complimentary Therapies
2. Pediatric Transitions—Starting down the road to independence
3. How to help your child advocate for themselves
4. Financial planning for families of children with chronic illnesses
Talk with Your Doc open discussions
Fun activities, crafts, and playtime for children ages 7 and under
Mini-Camp Milagros session for children ages 8-13
Mini-Teen Retreat session for teenagers ages 14+
In order to confirm your registration and family's attendance at JA Family Education Day this year, we ask that you pay a registration fee of $10. However, scholarships are available upon request. Lunch is included for all attendees.
