POSITION SUMMARY (Basic purpose or primary function of job)

The Technology Services Specialist position requires an individual who has a broad knowledge of hardware, software and networking technology typically found in a modern workplace. This is a generalist role that is devoted to all aspects of computer set-up, installation, troubleshooting, service, upgrades, and maintenance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and managing VOIP technology, handling how computers connect to each other or the rest of the network; printing, both locally and on the network; and auxiliary devices such as tablets, PDAs, and smartphones.

This position will have the opportunity to work with many different cloud-based technologies and third-party applications. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Principal responsibilities or job duties)

  1. PC workstation setup and maintenance
  2. Software installation and maintenance
  3. Resolve print, network, and connectivity issues
  4. Provide troubleshooting assistance to clients via phone, chat and remote assistance tools
  5. Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
  6. Document all technical procedures and user guides
  7. Make regular changes in both Active Directory and Office 365
  8. Provide on-call support as needed
  9. Coordinate the work of vendors providing outsourced managed services 

     

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

    1. 2-3 years of experience in IT as desktop support or systems administration.
    2. Windows Server 2012, Windows 10 administration.
    3. Office 365 E1-E5, including SharePoint and Skype For Business administration.
    4. Active Directory administration.
    5. Friendly customer service focused attitude.
