Summer Science Intern | Atlanta

The Arthritis Foundation is committed to the growth and development of college students pursuing education in scientific research or related fields. Our internship program will give you hands-on experience and valuable knowledge that will last you a lifetime. Under the guidance of experienced research leaders, our interns will work to tell the story of Arthritis Foundation’s research impact. You'll make valuable contacts and get the inside view of the important role the Arthritis Foundation plays as a not-for-profit organization.


  • Currently enrolled at an accredited four-year U.S. College or University for the upcoming semester

  • Seeking a Bachelors or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.

  • Maintaining at least a 3.0 grade point average

  • Have a strong interest in not-for-profit work as a career choice

  • Highly conscientious and detail-oriented

  • Strong writing and proof reading skills required – Writing samples will be required.

  • Adept at working in all Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Familiarity with contemporary cell and molecular biology.

  • Familiarity with Pubmed literature searches, and related databases.

  • Familiarity with simple statistical analysis a plus


  • Have fun and be passionate about your work

  • Review research progress reports, categorizing outcomes of funded programs

  • Execute surveys of funded researchers

  • Create reports and impact statements to highlight achievements of Arthritis Foundation sponsored research.
