Operations Specialist l Atlanta, GA

POSITION SUMMARY (Basic purpose or primary function of job)

The Operations Specialist provides support to both internal and external clients.  The Operations Specialist works directly with the Manager, Risk Operations on contract reviews, providing operational support along with compliance and accreditation. 


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Principal responsibilities or job duties)

  1. Monitors contracts management system and responds to contract review requests in a professional, courteous and prompt manner; reviews incoming contracts and agreements; routes agreements to mid-level internal reviewer(s) and senior executives as needed
  1. Act as contractual liaison between staff and contract review team, ensuring timely review and approval of all contracts; communicates revisions that need to be made with staff
  1. Maintain contractual records and documentation of contract correspondences including central repository for executed contracts
  1. Provide administrative support to the COO as needed. Includes coordinating calendar, booking travel arrangements, processing expense reports and coordinating meeting set-up for internal meetings.
  1. Schedule and attend meetings as requested; prepare and distribute meeting minutes as needed
  1. Process purchase requisition and check requests and provide administrative support for Operations group
  1. Serve as point of contact for state annual report submissions; monitor sales tax exemptions and property tax reports; maintain business licenses as needed
  1. Serve as point of contact for National Health Council, GuideStar and other accreditations as assigned; serve as project manager for select certification processes and monitor listings
  1. Manage call center and fulfillment vendor relationships
  1. Act as administrator for e-commerce sites
  2. Provide reporting to product stakeholders, accounting department and others as needed
  1. Manage the Arthritis Foundation’s Community Health Charities (CHC) National and local application and reporting processes
  1. Administer UPS CampusShip national account
  1. Manage printer/copier and postage meter national vendors
  1. Other duties as assigned



  1. Bachelor's degree in related area of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  1. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  1. Strong negotiation skills and experience. High level of analytical ability.
  1. Excellent math skills.
  1. Strong record of providing customer service to internal and external constituents and have an enthusiastic customer service attitude
  1. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
