Market Relations Coordinator | Chicago, IL

PART TIME | NON-EXEMPT 

This Part Time, Non-Exempt position will be responsible for the support of special events and mission activities as well as general office/operations support of an assigned area in the Market Area, and reports to the Development Director. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Principal responsibilities or job duties)

  1. Development Support:  Provide logistical and administrative to support market level fundraising initiatives within the assigned market in an effort to achieve the event fundraising goals. Assist with planning event logistics support participants and teams for the Walk to Cure Arthritis and Jingle Bell Run/Walk. Assist with procurement of auction items and event logistics for the Black Tie Gala. Recruit and manage volunteers for all special event.
  1. Constituent Communications: Manage submission/sending of email campaigns, post event communication including thank you notes. Manage social media communications for events.
  1. Office/Administrative: Office related duties (invoice submissions and tracking, reporting, data entry, etc.) as assigned. Ensures that all administrative support is handled in an accurate and timely fashion (scheduling, ordering materials and supplies, record keeping, reporting, etc). Learns systems/software as needed. Assist with materials for board meetings including taking minutes and transcribing and distributing them 
  1. Customer Service: Interfaces with event participants, donors, volunteers and corporations.
  1. All Other Duties As Assigned by Development Director

 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  1. Strong Administrative skills
  1. A strong working knowledge of finance and fundraising
  1. Proficient in the logistics and implementation of community special events and mission activities
  1. Excellent organizational and time management skills
  1. Excellent computer and software skills to include database management
  1. Successful collaborative skills working with a variety of groups (including volunteers)
  1. Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  1. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  1. Goal oriented with the ability to work as a part of the team and independently
  1. Interest in fundraising, mission delivery, and volunteer development
  1. Customer service focused
