POSITION SUMMARY (Basic purpose or primary function of job)

The Interactive Marketing Manager will act as both a project manager and executor of multi-channel digital marketing campaigns on behalf of the organization. This person will also assist in managing and facilitating posting on the Foundation’s social media accounts. Additional responsibilities include managing paid promotion across a variety of social media platforms; ensuring messaging/tone/look is consistent and coordinated across all digital assets; and working in an agile and nimble fashion to accommodate promotion of timely news.

 The Interactive Marketing Manager works closely with the Director, Digital Marketing to understand KPI’s, benchmarks and goals for growth across digital media, analyzes outcomes and results, and creates presentations to communicate these results. Strong writing and project management skills are a must, as this position will be called on to support management of multi-channel digital campaigns.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Principal responsibilities or job duties)

  1. Monitor user participation in Arthritis Foundation-sponsored online communities using Sprout Social. Keep an eye out for any customer service or legal issues, informing team members and management of any reasons to escalate potential problems to counsel before they happen. 
  2. Manage day-to-day social media presence as well as key, strategic social media ad campaigns for multiple departments within the Arthritis Foundation.
  1. Work with the Traffic Manager to ensure all social media projects have the necessary resources and support per the established content calendar.
  2. Plan, implement, monitor, and optimize paid advertising and social media campaigns, working closely with Director of Digital Marketing on targeting and strategy.
  3. Coordinate response to time-sensitive, “breaking news” posts by working with Market Service Managers and Social Media Specialists.
  1. Assist in project management and execution of multi-channel digital marketing campaigns.
  2. Generate reports on results for digital and social media, both paid and earned, and coordinate meetings with Director of Digital Marketing for analysis and next steps.
  3. Provide administrative support, such as reporting monthly advertising spend and Facebook donations.
  4. Other responsibilities as needed.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in English, communications, marketing, project management or related field; minimum of 5 years’ experience in social media strategy and execution.
  2. Working knowledge of web technologies and social media channels; ability to identify web and social media trends that will increase participation, awareness and the reach of the Arthritis Foundation and its online tools.
  3. Understanding social media and organizational best practices; knowledge of tools and processes used to develop, maintain and measure social media channels.
  4. Ability to manage, prioritize and track multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Systems: Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe suite, social media platforms/sites, Google Analytics, Google Adwords/Grants; Web site imaging (Photoshop, etc.) and statistics software (such as Radian 6, Facebook Insights, Sprout Social), and project management software.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills required.
