Get Involved as a Leader, Instructor or Trainer
Become a leader or instructor to plan and lead quality Arthritis Foundation classes for people with arthritis. Review the position descriptions for more information.

Become a Trainer to conduct training workshops to prepare individuals to be Arthritis Foundation leaders and instructors. Review the position descriptions for more information.

Get trained to teach a class. Meet minimum yearly teaching and reporting requirements to become or remain certified, then renew your certification every three years. (Note: The Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi Program certification is valid for only two years.) If you/your facility has not yet completed an Arthritis Foundation Programs Co-Sponsorship Agreement, please print one and send it along with your training application. This must be on file with the Arthritis Foundation prior to attending the training workshops.

Note: All instructors wishing to participate in the AF Aquatic Program or the AF Exercise Program must complete the Pre-Training Module. Please bring the completed quiz along with you in order to be admitted into the workshop. You may also access the Pre-training module at http://www.arthritis.org/aqex.php. You will need a username and password which will be provided to you upon registration for the course.

Quarterly Report Forms
The Arthritis Foundation is working on a partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to show how many people benefit from our programs. We rely on the quarterly attendance reports from our partners to measure program growth and to ensure continued federal support. Please use the Attendance Form and Program Information Form each quarter for each class you offer. Remember to include the Participant Release Form for all new participants.
