When Rylee was 11 years old, she was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis (JA) and she and her parents struggled to get a diagnosis for more than two years. Now at age 13 Rylee fundraises for the Arthritis Foundation and helps raise awareness for the disease so that families like hers receive Arthritis Foundation funded scholarships to local and national JA events, summer camp as well as a SAK backpack. The 2014 Advocacy Summit will be held March 24th-26th at the Capital Hilton in downtown Washington, DC.

The Arthritis Foundation’s Breaking the Pain Chain® program is an interactive educational program that empowers participants to effectively manage their arthritis and related chronic conditions through an understanding of the pain pathways and the effect pain can have on the physical, emotional and social aspects of life. Participants build a personal Pain Management Plan throughout the four-week course.

The online guide aims to help consumers, especially those with arthritis, understand the new Health Insurance Marketplace and make informed decisions about their health care coverage and benefit needs. read more
