Nasonex® (mometasone furoate monohydrate)

NASONEX® (mometasone furoate monohydrate) Nasal Spray, 50 mcg* is the first nasal allergy spray to receive The Arthritis Foundation’s Ease-of-Use Commendation.   NASONEX® is a prescription nasal allergy spray approved for the treatment of seasonal and perennial nasal allergy symptoms in adults and children 2 years of age and older.  Taken just once a day, NASONEX® helps relieve nasal allergy symptoms.  These symptoms are itchy, runny nose, sneezing and congestion.

Side effects were generally mild and included he, viral infection, sore throat, nosebleeds, and coughing. It is important to take NASONEX® regularly as recommended by your doctor, because its effectiveness depends on regular use. Maximum treatment benefit is usually achieved in 1 to 2 weeks. NASONEX® is only available by prescription.
