Constance R. Chu, MD, of the University of Pittsburgh, received several honors in 2006, including being chosen one of America’s Top Surgeons (Orthopaedic Surgery) by the Consumers Research Council.

Karen H. Costenbader, MD, MPH, of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, has been selected to participate in a program at Harvard entitled “Building Interdisciplinary Research Collaborations in Women’s Health.”

David Lee, MD, of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, had an article in Science magazine in January 2007.

James C. Oates, MD, of the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, has been elected President of the American Federation for Medical Research and Secretary-Treasurer of the Southern Society for Clinical Investigation.

Jeroen Roose, PhD, of University of California, San Francisco, has been promoted to Assistant Professor and is starting his own lab in the Department of Anatomy.

Markus Skold, PhD, was promoted to Instructor in Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston.

Uma Sriram, PhD, of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, received the 2006 Stewart McCracken Award for the highest-rated research project in the Philadelphia area.
