My story of arthritis is that when I was 15 years old, I went to an overnight camp and played baseball. I got hit in the finger with a baseball, I thought, and the doctor diagnosed it as what they called in those days a "baseball finger".

When I was a kid, I had a lot of knee pain and I remember my dad carrying me to the hospital, carrying me because I couldn't walk. We were in the military, and the doctor said, "Oh, it's just growing pains," and they pretty much dismissed it.
