Are You Getting Quality Care?
You've been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. Now what? Can your family doctor treat you or do you need to see a specialist? What do you need to know to manage your disease? And how do you know that you are getting adequate care?
The Arthritis Foundation has developed a set of measurements to assess the quality of care for people with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and for the use of analgesics, and we have summarized them for you here. Use them to better understand the importance of the questions your doctor asks you, things you need to report back to your doctor, how he or she is evaluating your disease progression and the type of care you should receive.
