Old Fashioned Fundraising

Bake sales are nothing new. Schools, churches and charities have used bake sales as fundraisers since the advent of the apple pie.

So don’t be afraid of going with an old standby. People love cakes, cookies, pies, brownies, chocolates, etc. And with the right set of Betty Crocker skills, you’ll be raking in donations in no time.

Not so handy in the kitchen? That’s fine too.

You can buy candy bars, sodas and other sweets in bulk. It’s probably a good idea to offer up some healthy snacks too. Bring them to the office, to your school, your church or other group setting and sell them for “profit.”

Having sweets readily available beats running out to the store for them. And if people know you’re selling them to help people overcome the challenges of arthritis, they’re more likely to go to you than to the candy machine down the hall.
