Study of RA Drug Candidate Begins
Posted 4/25/08
The first patient has received a new dug in a Phase I trial of SBI-087, a next-generation drug candidate for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The trial will evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of a single dose of SBI-087. Preclinical research suggests that SBI-087, a fully humanized CD20-directed small modular immunopharmaceutical, may have enhanced potency in B-cell depletion compared with rituximab.

Orencia Approved for JRA
