ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION'S TRIBUTE EVENT CELEBRATES LEGACY OF ORTHOPAEDIC CARE
October 24 Event Honors Eight Past Academic Orthopaedic Surgery Department Chairs
CLEVELAND - The Arthritis Foundation, Great Lakes Region, Northeastern Ohio will honor eight past academic chairmen of local academic orthopaedic surgery departments at its Tribute Event – Community Leaders of the Year dinner on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the Marriott Downtown at Key Center, 127 Public Square, Cleveland, OH 44114. The event is celebrating a legacy of orthopaedic care, education and innovation.
Those to be honored include: J. Patrick Flanagan, M.D., Summa Health System; Avrum I. Froimson, M.D., Mt. Sinai Medical Center; Victor M. Goldberg, M.D., Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals Case Medical Center; Kingsbury G. Heiple, M.D., Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals Case Medical Center; Kenneth E. Marks, M.D., Cleveland Clinic; Clyde L. Nash, Jr., M.D., St. Luke’s Hospital, MetroHealth Medical Center; Buel S. Smith, M.D., Akron General Health System; and Dennis S. Weiner, M.D., Akron Children’s Hospital.
The event’s Honorary Chair is Jerry Sue Thornton, Ph.D., immediate past president of Cuyahoga Community College. Robert D. Saada is the event’s Corporate Chair.
