More Than Just a Camp

Camp Dakota, Flying Horse Farms, and the Annie W. Anderson Fall Family Camp are camps held in the Great Lakes Region for children living with arthritis and related diseases.  These camps are designed to provide children living with debilitating diseases the opportunity to forget about their illness and have a fun-filled camp experience with other children just like them.  Click here to learn more and see photos from these camps.

2012 Juvenile Arthritis Conference

Nearly 1,000 people from over 30 states attended the Juvenile Arthritis Conference.  Twenty-seven families and individuals from the Great Lakes Region participated, including several rheumatology fellows, two JA Conference award winners, and 17 families who received a scholarship from the Arthritis Foundation to help cover the cost of attending. Pediatric Rheumatologist Shortages

Do you know how many pediatric rheumatologists are in your state?  The answer might surprise you.  There are ten states with no board certified, practicing pediatric rheumatologist and eight more states with only one. 2012 Jingle Bell Run's

Jingle Bell Run/Walk is a fun and festive way to kick off the holidays with family, friends and coworkers. Form a team, raise funds and organize your very own holiday-themed costumes. Then tie jingle bells to your shoelaces, and complete a 5 kilometer route.
