Meet the 2013 Central Ohio Walk Youth Honoree!

On Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 8:30 a.m. more than 500 individuals will gather at The Columbus Zoo & Aquarium for the Columbus Arthritis Walk (3 miles with a half-mile option) to raise awareness and funds to fight arthritis. The Walk is presented by NovaCare. Admission to the Zoo and Aquarium is included with walk registration and donation. The Walk is expected to raise $75,000.


Brennan Dameron, 7, is the 2013 Arthritis Walk Youth Honoree. He has a heart-melting smile and a positive outlook on life. Diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) before the age of three, Brennan and his family have been fighting arthritis for more than half his young life.   Karla Jones, the 2013 Arthritis Walk Medical Honoree, is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Rheumatology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.  She has been an Arthritis Foundation volunteer for 27 years and helped establish a camp for children with rheumatic diseases, serving as camp coordinator and nurse for 20 years.

Teams are forming now! Gather family, friends, co-workers and neighbors and join Brennan and Karla in the fight against arthritis. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Ignoring arthritis is unacceptable!
