Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Arthritis Walk! We have many volunteer opportunities for the day of the event. Here is a list of some of the volunteer positions for all nine walks:

Route:

Assist with route development and "decoration". Help make the route informative and fun for all participants!

Rest Stops:

Be a rest stop volunteer! Decorate the rest stop and keep it stocked at all times with water and snacks. Break down and clean up the area when the last walker passes through the area.

Heroes Area:

Create an outstanding area for our heroes, including balloons, blue heroes caps, pins, and more! Be as creative as you want!

Arthritis Advocacy:

Create an exciting advocacy area where you can collect signatures for upcoming legislative bills and sign up people to become advocates for arthritis!

Arthritis Answers:

Do you know a lot about arthritis? Create a display for upcoming programs and answer questions about arthritis!

Food:

We are looking for a few different kinds of volunteers in this area:

  1. Secure donations of food and beverages from local vendors for the participants and volunteers. Make arrangements for all pickups and deliveries.
  2. Be at the refreshment tent and help serve breakfast and stock tables with food
  3. Help clean the refreshment area at the conclusion of the event.

Registration:

Work in the registration area and check in our team captains! We will provide training for this position in advance!

Party Planners:

Decorate the site the morning of the walk! You can also secure groups such as cheerleaders or girl/boy scouts to cheer for our walkers at the finish line! Secure entertainment like clowns, face painters, music, or anything else you can think of!
