Welcome to Nebraska
There are more than 50 million Americans with Arthritis - 345,000 of them live in Nebraska. The Arthritis Foundation is the Champion of Yes. We are focused on finding a cure and championing the fight against arthritis through vital information, advocacy, science and community. Our goal is to chart a winning course, guiding families in developing personalized plans for saying yes – day after day.
The Arthritis Foundation will be at Werner Park on Tuesday, May 2 for the 6:30 p.m. game (vs. Memphis Redbirds) as the Community Organization of the Day. Come to the game and watch our Adult and Youth Honorees for the Walk to Cure Arthritis throw out the first pitch!
Walk to Cure Arthritis is the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide signature event that rallies communities and raises funds to conquer arthritis once and for all. Join the fight and Walk to Cure Arthritis – register, fundraise, come together to support each other and walk. Another step, another victory!
Camp Spirit is a week-long experience for girls and boys ages 7-15 with juvenile arthritis, and their siblings. Campers enjoy many camp activities in a safe and fun environment. Camp activities are plentiful and include things like tower climbing, horseback riding, swimming, crafts, campfires and team building to mention a few. Camp also allows for children with JA to form valuable life-long friendships with others who understand their journey with JA. Our schedule does allow for rest periods and we have an amazing team of healthcare nurses, Arthritis Foundation staff and JA youth mentors and volunteers who all will be onsite to assist in making a safe and fun week for campers.
Scholarships are available! Deadline to register is June 5th! Register at www.arthritis.org/jacamps
