How You Can Help
The Arthritis Foundation promotes government and private sector action to improve the lives of the 50 million Americans living with arthritis and chronic joint symptoms. Heartland Region Ambassador Attends Arthritis Industry Forum!
The Arthritis Foundation recently convened its fifth Arthritis Industry Forum in Washington, D.C. that brought together 48 industry stakeholders who represented 19 organizations. The 2013 industry members included representatives from pharmaceutical, biotech and device companies as well as arthritis advocates who shared their personal stories of how they live with arthritis.
This year, one of the sessions focused on patient advocates and featured Alexa Wesley, an ambassador from Peoria, IL. Alexa has juvenile arthritis, but that doesn’t stop her from advocating for the 50 million Americans with doctor-diagnosed arthritis.
