The Arthritis Foundation and Cedar Point are AGAIN partnering this year for THREE great ticket promotions to raise funds to support children and adults who live daily with arthritis pain. America’s Roller Coast is offering pre-season tickets for $41.00, an amazing $18.99 off the gate entry price. $3 of every ticket sold benefits The Arthritis Foundation’s Walk to Cure Arthritis. Breaking the Pain Chain-Multiple Day Event

April 2, 9, 16, and 23, 1-3pm 
St Martin de Porres Church

Breaking the Pain Chain is a four-part interactive educational series designed to teach about the tools and techniques for breaking the cycle of pain caused by arthritis.  The series includes four, two-hour sessions and will meet the first four Wednesday's in April (2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd) from 1pm-3pm at St. Martin de Porres Church in Warren (31555 Hoover Rd., Warren, MI 48093).  By the end of the series, participants will have completed a personal Pain Management Plan.  Registration is required and there is a registration fee of $40.  This fee covers all 4 sessions, materials and snacks.

Weighty Matters & Arthritis is a 3-part educational speaker series that will tackle patient’s questions pertaining to arthritis and its major forms, treatment options and what role weight plays in the health of our joints.  This 3-part speaker series is free to the public and will provide perspectives from a Rheumatologist on April 2nd, an Orthopedic Surgeon on April 9th and a Registered Dietician on April 16th.  Join us from 6:00pm—8:00pm at Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe and get the information and resources you need to get on the road to a healthy lifestyle.  Light refreshments will be served.

Walk to Cure Arthritis (formerly named Arthritis Walk) is a fun and non-competitive three-mile walking event that supports public awareness and raises funds to fight arthritis. People of all ages and origins get arthritis including children. It’s the leading cause of disability in the United States affecting more than 50 million people nationwide and 2.3 million in Michigan.
