Honoring Dr. Mark Belsky and Dr. Martha Skinner
The Arthritis Foundation Physician Achievement Award Dinner honors an outstanding rheumatologist and an orthopedic surgeon with the Dr. Marian Ropes Award for excellence in arthritis care and leadership in the fight against arthritis. Dr. Marian Ropes was a pioneer and national leader in the field of rheumatology. She was the first woman medical resident appointed by the Massachusetts General Hospital. Selected by a distinguished committee of medical leaders, each honoree has lead an outstanding career dedicating his or her life to helping thousands of children and families impacted by arthritis.
The dinner, now in its twentieth year, is established as a special evening of recognition, attracting hundreds of guests including medical leaders, business executives and patients. All proceeds from the dinner further the Arthritis Foundation's mission to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure for arthritis and related diseases.
