The Arthritis Foundation Physician Achievement Award Dinner honors two outstanding physicians, a rheumatologist and an orthopedic surgeon, with the Dr. Marian Ropes Award for excellence in arthritis care and leadership.  Dr. marian Ropes was a pioneer and national leader in the field of rheumatology.  She was the first woman medical resident appointed by Massachusetts General Hospital.  Selected by a distinguished committee of medical leaders, each honoree has led an outstanding career dedicating his/her life to helping thousands of individuals impacted by arthritis.  Dr. Arthur L. Boland and Dr. Matthew Liang receive the Dr. Marian Ropes Award in exalted company.
