Q: Do I need to see a dermatologist AND a rheumatologist to treat my PsA?

A: As always, it depends. In many cases, the area that is most active or problematic may guide the choice. For example, if a patient has very severe skin psoriasis and minimal joint involvement, the treatment may be directed by their dermatologist largely or entirely. On the other hand, if someone has very active joint symptoms and just a little bit of skin psoriasis, they may see their rheumatologist predominantly or entirely.
