Art for Arthritis
Arthritis is the #1 cause of disability in the United States and this is Unacceptable! Most people do not know that of the staggering 50 million young and old afflicted nationwide, there are nearly 500,000 in Kansas and more than 3,000 Kansas children that have some form of this painful disease.
Through color, shapes, design, tastes, dance, music and words, experience the accomplishments of 15 children paired and mentored by local artisans, who will share their diverse exploration with alternative methods of self-expression in their fight with juvenile arthritis in the 3rdAnnual Art for Arthritis Gala and Auction. Each child-artist pairing creates two pieces of art, one item for the silent auction and one larger item for the Live auction. Pieces are on display through the event. items will be on display and available.
Help celebrate these heroic children’s efforts as they transform an idea and heartfelt vision into a self made expression that evokes thought and emotion. Their diverse masterpieces not only raise awareness about the disease and support an agency that advocates on their behalf, it empowers the future of our children fighting this dreadful disease and provides hope to those with similar circumstances.
