Arthritis education is very important for you, your child and the rest of your family. The Arthritis Foundation provides families with networking and educational opportunities through participation in regional and national juvenile arthritis family conferences. In this section, you will find links to medical, educational, and other resources from many different organizations. We also have message boards specifically dedicated to parents and parenting. By visiting the message board, you can read comments or questions left by other parents of children with arthritis, and you can leave your own.
Adjusting to and coping with the challenges of a chronic illness can be difficult. Professional counseling may help facilitate adjustment and management of the illness. Your child's doctor, nurse or medical social worker may be able to refer you to other sources of help.
