Summer camp is one of the highest, positive-impact activities in which a child can participate. Camp Joint Adventures is a 4-day, 3-night experience for boys and girls aged 8-15 living with juvenile arthritis and other rheumatic conditions. Campers are separated into gender neutral cabins for their age category. Camp staff and volunteers strive to provide campers with a camping experience that includes a campfire, archery, arts and crafts, theme nights, swimming, sports and other activities in an environment that takes into account the campers strengths and not the limitations of the campers disease. It’s time for a family getaway especially geared towards the needs of families with children affected by arthritis, to participate in educational and recreational activities and share experiences in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. This weekend program is designed so that parents and children can enjoy time together and separately with their peers. The event includes lunch and dinner.

Join the Arthritis Foundation for a 2-night extravaganza of fun, education, and meeting new friends! This camp is for children with arthritis and their families. Campers gain a greater understanding of their own juvenile arthritis diagnosis and treatment, develop peer-to-peer support, increase independence and self-confidence, discover new skills and interests, and develop the skills they need to be leaders, advocates and champions in their everyday lives. There will be activities for all age groups!
