Back to School Picnic
The Arthritis Foundation will be hosting a back to school picnic for our JA families on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Sommer Park in Peoria. There will be a weiner roast, hayrack ride and lots of surprises for the kids! Please bring a dish to share. The Arthritis Foundation will provide hot dogs and marshmallows for roasting, all the fixin's for s'mores and drinks. So grab your roasting stick and head on our to Sommer Park for this FREE evening of fun! You do not want to miss this!
Juvenile Arthritis Conference
The Juvenile Arthritis Conference is the Arthritis Foundation’s signature, nationwide event for families affected by juvenile arthritis. The conference offers a chance to meet other families going through similar challenges, share stories, learn new techniques for managing juvenile arthritis and have fun! Join us for this three-day education event that focuses on health, wellness and fun for children affected by arthritis,lupus, myositis, ankylosing spondylitis and other rheumatic diseases. read more
Camp JAM is a weekend retreat for kids ages 8-17 with arthritis or related conditions. It’s an opportunity to make new friends and build your self-esteem & leadership skills! Due to an overwhelming response, campers will once again stay in the Geneva Bay Conference Center, fully equipped with an elevator, dining hall and private bathrooms! read more
Kids In Control KITS (KICKITS)
The Arthritis Foundation, Heartland Region is offering FREE survival kits to children who have been diagnosed by a doctor with a form of juvenile arthritis. The KICKIT (Kids In Control KIT) is designed to help your child learn how to take control of their arthritis by providing educational information, a health journal, a book for mom and dad, a book for the child and a cold pack. read more
