A Commitment to Research
The Arthritis Foundation will delay posting RFAs for new grants to allow us the opportunity to assess the impact of current economic conditions on our research grant program. We are committed to meeting commitments to current grantees and are actively working to make certain funds are secure to allow for new awards in 2009. We realize how important this program is for sustaining arthritis research and will seek to post RFAs as soon as possible.
Chapter Grants - Some chapters of the Arthritis Foundation offer grants to meet unique research needs in the chapter area. The purpose of these grants programs is to fund highly meritorious and innovative research programs that meet the mission of the Arthritis Foundation within that chapter area. In order to submit an application for this type of grant, a researcher must be responding to a request for proposals from their chapter area and must have the appropriate chapter code in order to process the application on line. The amount and duration, as well as the character, eligibility and purpose of a Chapter Grant, are determined by the chapter issuing the RFP.
