Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program
The Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program allows you to exercise without putting excess strain on your joints and muscles. The gentle activites in warm water, with guidance from a trained instructor, will help you gain strength and flexibility. Participants enjoy decreased pain and stiffness. Swimming is not a pre-requisite.

Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program
The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is an exercise program designed specifically for people with arthritis that uses gentle activities to help increase joint flexibility and range of motion while maintaining muscle strength and decreased pain. Exercises can be done standing, or in a chair.

The Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi Program
The Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi Program is designed to improve the quality of life for people with arthritis using Sun style Tai Chi, one of the four major recognized styles of Tai Chi. This style includes agile steps and exercises that may improve mobility, breathing and relazation.

Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease Program
The Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease Program will help boost your energy, reduce your stress and control weight based on programs which have been successfully implemented in research settings and have resulted in such benefits as increased physical activity, increased walking distance and speed, decreased pain and decreased depression. You will develop a walking plan that meets your particular needs; stay motivated, manage your pain, and learn to exercise safely. It is an important part of helping keep your muscles strong and your joints stable.

Advocacy
The Arthritis Foundation promotes government and private sector action to improve the lives of the 50 million Americans living with arthritis. But we need your help to get more government funding for arthritis research, to encourage early diagnosis and comprehensive treatment, and to improve access to quality health care for everyone with arthritis. Visit www.arthritis.org/advocacy/ for tools you need to become informed about the issues and to make your voice heard.
Patient Education Forums
The Arthritis Foundation offers educational forums, town hall meetins and roundtable discussions with rheumatologists, orthopedists, physical therapists and other professionals. Topics in these forums include stress management, back pain, join replacement options and more.
Speakers Bureau
The Arthritis Foundation is committed to providing the most up-to-date, reliable information on living with arthritis and what better way to do it by speaking in our communitites. Please consider inviting one of the knowledgeable, talented, engaging members of the Arthritis Foundation's Speakers Bureau to deliver a presentation at your location. Speakers include Arthritis Foundation staff, volunteers, doctors and other health professionals. Presentations like "Discover Arthritis...Take Control!" and "Physical Activity and Arthritis" provide audiences with facts and resources to help them live with arthritis more successfully.
If you are interested in scheduling a community presentation, please contact Jill Lysengen, Volutneer and Programs Manager at (303) 756-8622 x222 or jlysengen@arthritis.org.
