BECOME AN ADVOCATE:
Become part of our network of volunteer advocates who are dedicated to educating policymakers on the challenges facing people who have arthritis, developing a unified and consumer-based advocacy agenda, and advocating for adoption of the agenda in Washington, D.C. and our state capital. Contact Carolyn Hart at chart@arthritis.org or visit http://www.arthritis.org/inside-advocacy.php
ARTHRITIS WALK TEAM CAPTAINS:
We need walk team captains (people who head up teams to walk/raise funds for the Arthritis Foundation's programs and research) for our walk.
ARTHRITIS WALK COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
We need individuals to help us plan and coordinate all of our Walks next year. Consider joining the committee for the walk in your community. Contact Emily Cope at ecope@arthritis.org or 412-566-1645 ext. 1103 for more information.
PROGRAM LEADERS:
Would you like to be certified as an instructor of one of our 3 evidence-based programs? You can take our leaders class and lead participants through our Arthritis Foundation Exercise, Aquatic or Self Help Programs. All you need is a facility where you can teach the class and the time to teach the 6 or 8 week courses. Contact Allison Kerr at akerr@arthritis.org or 412-566-1645
ext. 1102 for more information.
OFFICE VOLUNTEERS:
Office volunteers assist us with important work such as filling information request orders. We have volunteers who come in once a week to help with these tasks. In addition to our once-weekly opportunities, we are also in need of on-call volunteers. These volunteers come in to assist us with projects like mailings, phone call projects or organizing our materials on an as-needed basis. Contact Carolyn Hart at chart@arthritis.org or 412-566-1645 ext. 1102 for more information.
