The Arthritis Foundation Western Pennsylvania Chapter is please to announce our NEW Laurel Highlands Region, which will be headed by Lori Knapp, Director of Community Development for the Laurel Highlands Region.
Westmoreland County is an area where many affected individuals reside and deal with arthritis or a related disease on daily basis. Some of those people may suffer in silence and may not be aware that people like us are here to help. Although the nationwide ratio is 1-in-5, an astounding 1-in-3 Pennsylvanians endure pain, fatigue and other symptoms of arthritis, as well as side effects from medicines and diseases that generally co-exist. Expanding into Westmoreland County is an important and essential step in promoting awareness, prevention and advocacy.
