Welcome to the Western Missouri/Greater Kansas City Chapter

...where approximately 660,000 men, women, and children are affected by arthritis and related diseases. This chapter encompasses 50 counties in the western half of Missouri and includes Johnson and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas. Educational brochures, a physician referral list, exercise classes and support groups are some of the services offered to our community.

The Arthritis Walk®

is the Arthritis Foundation's annual nationwide event that raises awareness and funds to fight arthritis, the nation's leading cause of disability. It is a tremendous opportunity to help improve the lives of the 46 million men, women and children doctor-diagnosed with arthritis. Get your company involved or recruit friends and family members to form a team. Best of all, walk in honor of a loved one with arthritis and know you're making a difference by raising funds to support Arthritis Foundation research, public health and public policy efforts to improve the lives of people with arthritis.

Hey! Let's Play Ball!

Centerpoint Medical Center is proud to sponsor the first annual Charity Softball Game benefiting the Arthritis Foundation. The Medical Surgical Floor is challenging the physicians’ to a head to head, fun filled afternoon of softball. Tickets to the game will proceed the Arthritis Foundation

Time:  First Pitch at 11:00am

Location: F rank White Softball Complex (Longview lake)

Advocacy

A delegation of Missourians joined more than 400 others from across the country to converge on Washington D.C. for the Annual Arthritis Advocacy Summit. Our delegation of volunteer advocates joined three chapter staff members from the Heartland Region and called on the offices of each of the Missouri Congressional Representatives and Senators to ask for help with passage of the Arthritis Prevention Control and Cure Act, which is before both the House and the Senate.
