
Juvenile arthritis(JA) refers to any form of arthritis or arthritis-related condition that develops in children or teenagers who are less than 18 years of age. Approximately 294,000 children under the age of 18 are affected by pediatric arthritis and rheumatologic conditions. Read below to see how the Arthritis Foundation is reaching out to these children and their families.
Our 2nd Annual JA Family Day will be hosted at The Children's Hospital from 10am-2pm. Adults will learn about diseases and drugs from a panel of guest speakers. Kids of all ages will be engaged in fun activities to meet other kids with JA and their siblings and friends! Parents and kids will be invited to breakout sessions for a more intimate setting. Each year we hold an art contest asking kids under 18 years of age that have arthritis to draw an original picture for a chance to be in the Arthritis Walk calendar.
