$500 Allows us to recognize and thank our many office volunteers.
$1,000 Provides additional activities for our Juvenile Arthritis programs: Camp Milagros, Family Education Day, Teen Retreat.
$2,500 Helps us to recruit, orient, train and recognize Speakers Bureau volunteers and publicize the availability of this valuable and free community education resource.
$3,500 Provides the necessary training of up to 20 course leaders for our Arthritis Foundation land and warm water exercise program known as The Life Improvement Series, held in 70 Northern California sites.
$5,000 Underwrites continuing education activities for our Life Improvement Series certified leaders/instructors.
$7,500 Allows the Chapter to annually reach out to 70 health fairs and seminars and supports our Information & Referral Service in response to the over 30,000 annual requests.
$10,000 Underwrites 2 years of 200 + free exercise classes developed by the Arthritis Foundation and the Center for Disease Control.
$15,000 Provides stipends and lab fees for our 8 High School Summer Science Interns working at Stanford and UCSF.
$25,000 Helps us provide one year of awareness and outreach to seniors with our Physical Activity Campaign, encouraging exercise in the treatment of arthritis.
$40,000 Educates Northern California rheumatologists, orthopedic surgeons and researchers on cutting edge information on research and treatments for arthritis and autoimmune related diseases through our prestigious Knowles Lecture.
$50,000 Helps provide the requisite matching funds for a $250,000 grant given by an anonymous donor to support our Life Improvement Series.
